FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES OF INTER PROVINCIAL COORDINATION DEPARTMENT

  1. Inter Provincial Coordination Department on matters pertaining to I.P.C meetings and decisions.
  2. To foster better understanding and Coordination between Provinces and Federal Government level
  3. To strive to build up opportunities for economic, cultural and social cooperation with the other Provinces and the Federation of Pakistan.
  4. To make efforts for improved coordination at policy and operational level amongst Provinces and the Federation.
  5. To promote joint strategies with other provinces in connection with Agriculture produce/natural resources, establishment of industries on joint venture basis for economic growth.
  6. To promote ways and means including arranging Inter-Provincial visits for developing skills and technology for Industrialization, Information Technology, Services, Agriculture and other fields.
  7. To promote interaction between government bodies, ministries and business community at Inter Provincial level through visits, exchange programs seminars, lectures, publication and media campaign.

IMPORTANT POINTS

  • The Inter Provincial Coordination Department does not have any field office or Directorate.
  • All the staff working in this department are posted by the Services General Administration and Coordination Department, Government of Sindh, Karachi.
  • The Inter Provincial Coordination Department does not have any Subsidy Programmes and as such the department does not have any development portfolio under the Government of Sindh.
